Correction

I have been hesitant to post this piece of information at the risk of sounding like a political flip-flopper. As many of you know, I am in seminary again. And it has caused me to rethink some things. I have been studying Genesis 1 more closely and decided that the 24-hour creation day interpretation is correct after all. So, I might need to change the title of this blog...

April Fool's!

There are Old Earth interpretations compatible with 24 hour days in the creation week- Classic Gap theory, Relative Beginning theory (Waltke) and John Walton's Cosmic Temple view (have you read John Walton's book?).

Ok, first of all, I really hope you scrolled down to see this post is an April Fool's joke. (I post it every year. I know, I'm not very original.)

Secondly, I am familiar with those other positions, although I haven't read Walton's latest book yet. I am familiar with his arguments, however, through extended conversations with him personally as well as briefer summaries in his other writings.

I appreciate your kind concern.
