Angels & Demons

Just in case you didn't know, the new Ron Howard/Tom Hanks film came out this past Friday, Angels and Demons. It is a prequel to Dan Brown's book, The DaVinci Code. An aspect of the Angels & Demons story involves the so-called "God Particle" and whether Christianity (represented by the Roman Catholic church) is in conflict with scientific progress.

Reasons To Believe has set up a temporary page on their web site with links to various podcasts and articles that address controversial issues raised by the film: "A Science-Faith Perspective on Topics Discussed in Angels & Demons." A video podcast/review from Ken Samples, Hugh Ross and Jeff Zweerink is forthcoming.

Here is another web site that may be helpful: "The Truth about Angels and Demons". It was set up by Westminster Theological Seminary.

UPDATE (5/19/2009): Jeff Zweerink has an article posted on the RTB web site related to the Angels and Demons film: "Defusing the Antimatter Bomb."
