More Than a Theory

The new resources from Reasons To Believe just keep on coming. Hugh Ross has a new book in the warehouse and now shipping: More Than a Theory. This is in "celebration" (for lack of a better word) of the Darwin Day festivities and in response to Dawkins' book, Only a Theory. The year 2009 marks Darwin's 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his Origin of Species.

At its foundation, this kind of a is a re-write/re-tooling of Creation as Science (published by NavPress), but with new content as well. From the website description:
In More Than a Theory, Hugh Ross, founder and president of Reasons To Believe, offers discerning readers a comprehensive, testable creation model to consider as an alternative. This fascinating resource will educate readers with a direct response to the recent and well-publicized challenges from aggressive atheists. In doing so, it also reminds the scientific community of what constitutes good science. Furthermore, it will supply Christians with the scientific information they need to defend their convictions that the God of the Bible is the Creator.
More Than a Theory book provides a good overview of RTB's testable creation model. This is why I would recommend the book for high school students who are looking toward a career in science. This text will help prepare them for the challenges they will face from future studies. I would also highly recommend it for science teachers/professors. Hugh's books are rarely a recycling of the "same ol' tired arguments." His bold and fresh approach will give instructors new ways to teach about the creation/evolution controversy.
