Perspectives on the AiG Creation Museum

Thought I'd share a couple video clips from atheists touring AiG's Creation Museum.

First, a video of the secular alliance of Indiana university made of their trip to the creation museum. The clip is interesting if nothing else to understand the museum from a secular/skeptics point of view. (If you visit the blog, be warned, it jumps on all things christian/creationist, etc... So if you get offended, don't come crying to me.)

"Ken Ham Makes a Few More Bucks"

(Thanks go my buddy, TG, for the link.)

Then, check out this clip from Bill Maher's film, Religulous.

On the one hand, you have Maher touring the museum and interviewing Ken Ham who says that the earth is 6000 years old. I do think Maher asks Ham some legitimate questions, however.

Cut to a Vatican astronomer who tells Maher that the Bible and science basically have nothing to do with each other. (Aside - then why is the Pope paying him to study the stars?)

That being said, I do have to credit Maher for not making Christians look completely stupid. He could have chosen to have Ken Ham represent all Christians. Although I don't agree with his approach, the Vatican astronomer at least put forth good science while trying to maintain some level of biblical credibility.

Old earth creation? You're not as insane as a young earth creationist, but you're still scientifically illiterate.

It's good to hear that you've gathered all the facts about our position and drawn a non-emotional conclusion. Your fairness is appreciated.
